Teach Soap

I am about to make cold process soap and want to try Satsuma fragrance oil. I have 41 oz of oil in my recipe , how many ozs would I use so the scent is strong enough that when you're done your bath the smell stays on your skin. One more thing ....I notice with the citrus scents they don't seem to hold, the scent is so mild you can hardly notice it, I use the same amount on oils 41 oz and added 3 oz of fragrance oils. Any ideas?

For 41ozs. of oils, I would use 1.8 ozs. of fragrance. 41 ozs. is about 2.5 lbs. The most I ever use is 1 oz. of FO to 1 lb. of oils, so the most I would use is 2.5 ozs of fragrance. Now, with that said, some citrus oils just don't do well in cold process soap as they do fade. Soaps are not a perfume. They are not meant to scent the skin for a long time.
