Teach Soap

I just made a batch scented with BB's Honeysuckle! I can't wait until it is completely cured so I can try it out. I used a fairly simple recipe, 10% Sweet Almond Oil, 5% Castor, 25%olive, 30%Palm, and 30% coconut. It's a 110 oz batch. I didn't do anything fancy, colored it with BB's Lemon Sherbet. I tried a slightly decorative top, just a few little peaks on it. I'll try to take pictures when I unmold it Monday or Tuesday and again when it is completely cured.

Yay! I can't wait to hear what you think once it's been cut and cured =)

We have honeysuckle growing wild in our woods and it smells so nice when it blooms.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

A local soapmaker makes a honeysuckle soap that she says is scented with the essential oil. It smelled so good I looked up the price but the eo was too expensive for me. It's good to know there is a nice fo.

I wondered about that when I saw the price of the eo! She claims to only use eo's but I really don't know her.

Oops! forgot but she kept her soap in logs and cut them in her booth. She charged about $6 per bar and I'm guessing about 5 oz but I didn't weigh my bar.
