Hi, has anyone ever soaped with NGC's Absinthe? If so, can you please tell me the results? Thank you!

I have. It is a very "sharp" spicy scent - think clove, anise and cinnamon. I soaped at 110 F and it accelerated - usage at 3% is plenty.

My review here:

I HP'd it with a pumpkin puree soap several months ago. I really liked it. It's quite spicy and fall-like, in my opinion. I've seen some soapers call a spearmint and anise EO combo an Absinthe scent also. It's personally one of my fave blends, but can't speak to how true to actual Absinthe either the FO or EO combo really are. (I've never had the real deal, only bought the FO as a joke in reference to one of me and my honey's fave songs, "Absinthe Party At The Fly Honey Warehouse" hehe.)

Thank you ladies! It's funny, I can't stand the scent per se, it's the anise note that I don't care for, but the other elements take away my dislike for the anise aspect. I know a lot of people like it so since I use it in other applications, so I wanted to try it in CP. On the NGC web site, it does say that it rices which is a little scary, but not enough to make me want to not try it! I am wanting to add some MP aspect to it, I know that this is tricky so I had another question; I have heard that you can try and attempt to add to CP but you would have to add it already frozen to the CP so that it wouldn't melt. Is this true? What if I soaped @ room temp? Would that maybe help to avoid possible ricing or me having to blob it in the mold? I was thinking of placing some frozen MP chunks or a layer of frozen mp and hen adding some frozen elements on top of the CP loaf has anyone ever done this or heard of someone doing this? Thank you! Oh also, I think I'm having a brain fart, Aprilprey, when you say %3, would this be .3 ounces per pound of soap? Please excuse the duh moment! lol

I wouldn't add the MP frozen. It might not stick. I make Absinthe soap, but I don't use NG's fo.

Thank you soapbuddy, I wasn't sure about that. The Fo that you use, does it cause your cp to rice? If so, how do you salvage it so that it's still doable?
