Thank you. I used Electric bubblegum pink mica BB and after i poured the first layer I added the rest to more aoap batter to dilute for a lighter pink. I think that is the name of it anyway

Thank you Julie! It does smell really good too. I LOVE Love Spell as many others do! lol Here are the cut pics, and I think next time I will wait 30 to 36 hours to cut instead of my usual 24. I have to say that I thought the design that is on the inside would have been a little bit more showy, but I am still happy with it. Hopefully my next batch will be a little more interesting. MelissaBrown said the top reminds her of fireworks, which I think I will be renaming this soap, since this scent is so dark and sexy IMO. Thanks Melissa! :) I can't wait until I can get a mold where I don't always have to cut the sides of the soap, it never comes out neat, can anyone make any suggestions? Also, I noticed that there are little holes in the soap, can anyone tell me how to avoid this? I slammed the mold so I can get any possible bubbles out. I always have to line my 2 pound wooden mold w/ freezer paper and when I unmold the soap, the sides are always funky. I have the crafter's choice mold #0501 but since they no longer sell it, I don't remember how many pounds it holds and I can't find any info on it. I watched a youtube video with someone trying to unmold her cp with this mold and she was having a very hard time. I think tomorrow I will try to cut the soap to make the sides look more straight and sharp.

Yeeee! Here's my first honey soap! It's the first time that I obtain something GOOD! No zapping, no overheating during the process, creamy lather...It has been curing for over a month now and nothing went wrong! All thanks to your advice regarding castor oil, honey and cinnamon eo percentages 8)
I know it seems nothing special, but I'm so proud of it!

The recipe for this 500 gr batch was was:
20% coconut oil
35% palm oli
40% olive oil
5% castor oil
half a tablespoon of black chestnut honey
5% super fat
2.554:1 water/lye ratio,
and 5 gr of fragrance (vanilla sugar frangrance oil and few drops of cinnamon essential oil).
And now... ready for new soaping adventures!

The honey soap looks great.

Sonya your soap looks pretty. I have noticed my newer stick blender causes more bubbles than my old one. I dont know why. I use BB silcone molds and I also have started putting my CP soap in the over on 170 for about 25 min uncovered then take out and wrap as ususal. I soap cool though. I just make sure the gel starts. I unmolded the above soap in about 14 hrs . It slid right out. I let it set the rest of the day till I got home from work and then cut it. I like the way BB's or any clear silcone unmolds better than I do the Crafter's Choice. I have both but always grab the clear ones over the CC unless I am making more soap than clear ones I have.
I usually make a 3 lb batch for the older silicone molds I have. I do have the new larger one from BB and it hold over three 4 lb. I would have to get up and see how many oz. . I always use Summerbee Meadow soap calculator and put my recipe in and then recalculate to the measurements of the mold I am using and print out. I keep a a three ringnotebook with my printed recipes. I have a hole punch cause I have a recipe book I keep too of recipes that I use .

Recent soap - FO is NG's Fresh Squeezed Orange! Had hoped to swirl the two colors together, but it had traced too fast for that. Still happy with it.

Experiment with embeds. The darker soap is well cured - FO is NG Absinthe. I found the scent a bit harsh, so embedded pieces into new soap using NG Brown Sugar and Fig. I like the bigger embeds, but would do it a little differently nex time.

Hi, everybody! I haven't been on the forum much the past couple of months. Things just got so hectic toward the end of last year - I was traveling a lot and trying to get ready for the holidays. I'm finally catching up and getting back into my routine. I hope you all had a happy holiday season!

I know Christmas is soooo last month, but here are a few holiday soaps that I never got around to posting here. Some of you may have already seen them on my blog or FB.

Sweet Pumpkin soap, made with pumpkin puree and goat's milk. I used a rubber stamp dipped in gold mica to stamp the freshly-cut soap:

Fresh Snow soap, scented with BB's "Fresh Snow" FO:

Christmas Cheer soap, scented with a Christmas-tree type FO:

I enjoyed going back and looking at everyone else's soaps. I've missed so much! Great job, everybody! I hope I'll be around here more often now ...

Thank you, April and Irena! :D

April - yes, I poured my white soap (which turned out more of a creamy white because of the FO) into the mold and then alternated between the gold, green, and red, pouring them from up high to get the droplet effect. The soap was at about a medium trace - it thickened up on me some, but it still worked out.

April and Jenny love both of your soaps. I love the way fresh squeesed oranges turn out. Let me know if that FO sticks.

Jenny your droplets are so pretty and so is your layering effect. Love the lavender colors
