I posted this also here as a response to another question I had originally asked:
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9885Making a candle for a customer and I'm using all resins: Labdanum, Benzoin and Peru Balsalm in soy wax.
Made 2 candles with just those resins and soy wax and used and HTP 105 and HTP 126 wick in a glass jar.
They burned fine but while burning and hardening up after the burn they both produced a resin blob at the
base of the wick. Is this because I didn't dissolve the resins? Can I just other essential oils to dissolve the resins
into ie. Orange or Bergamot? Or do I have to use a liquid oil? If I need to use a liquid oil how little can I get away
with using so the candle isn't too soft and I can keep the integrity of the scent?
I've attached a file below.
