 Post subject: soy wax

Im new to making candles, ive been buying soy wax from hobby lobby. I have tried everything i know to prevent frosting, it seems i cant get a good candle with there wax. can someone tell me what is the best wax to use?

Soy wax is known for frosting. Sometimes using a heat gun quickly over the top helps. Try a blended wax.

Hi craftyladybug! Have you tried Blended Wax as soapbuddy has suggested?

Thanks for your help. I haven't tried a soy blend yet. what can would you suggest, and should that make a better looking candle?

Craft stores waxes are mediocre quality. Look up the different types of waxes on BitterCreek web site. If you don't mind paraffin blended with soy wax, that blend has less frosting.
