Teach Soap

I am wanting to try to make wax dipped bears. Does anyone know if I can use pariffin wax to do this along with fragrance oil?

I finally made my first wax dipped bear and it turned out pretty good! I used the AppleJack FO from BB an it smells really good! I also got some little stuffed dogs. There are 12 in a bag an they were cheap. I thought that they would make cute air fresheners to hang on the rearview mirror of the car. But, the quality of the little pups was not very good and as soon as I dipped it in the hot wax his little nose fell off! The bears turned out good and they are fun to make!
Obviously, the Colts didn't make playoffs. So, go Jets!

About hanging the things in cars.
#1- Not a good idea, especially in the summer. The wax melts and can ruin the interior of the car. (First hand experience)
#2-In many states, if not all, it is a violation to hang things from your rear view mirror because it obstructs the view. (My sister got pulled over for having an air freshener hanging from her mirror and got a nice $50 ticket).

When I'm looking for animals to dip, The Dollar Tree and Oriental Trading are great inexpensive places.

I agree about keeping any wax based things or soap in your car. I had a customer told me that he left my soap in his car and it melted.

Thank-you so much Wintermoon and Soapbuddy for the advice! I think I will stay away from the wax dipped air fresheners for the car. I know these bears have been around for years but I just think they are so cute and they smell so good! I haven't really had a chance to do things like this in the past because I was working at a flower shop in Indy. I did some floral design and office work. But, the shop closed a little over a year ago. So now I am staying at home and I watch my Granddaughter when my daughter works ! The point being, I now have some time to do things like this and hopefully be able to make a little extra money. Its fun! Thanks again!
