Hi all,
I'm John and I'll be spending a good bit of time here. Mostly reading and asking questions. I won't be too much trouble, I promise. ;D I am new to soaping, but am ready to become knowledgeable and successful.
I've been studying for several months and have bought all the equipment that I need to start and am building several molds this weekend. I just feel like I need to read and absorb more knowledge before I jump into the mold with both feet.
I am finishing Alicia Grosso - Everything Soapmaking book right now and have been through the Cavitch book as well. I have read countless forums and watched as many videos. I'm ready to jump in and ask questions and get my soapin' on!
I'm very excited, if ya can't tell. In my life outside this new passion, I am a Sr. Graphic Designer at a major retailer. My wife just finished Massage Therapy school and the bath and body products will make a nice compliment to her business. We've been married 7 years and our daughter is a too smart for her age 4 year old.
Ok, now that we got all that out of the way, let's talk soap!
