Hey everyone. I just wanted to say hi from Beautiful British Columbia. I have become infatuated with the soap making process and cannot wait to start making my first bar of soap. I purchased a kit from Michaels to start out, but think I may just run out of supplies soon, lol. Looking forward to everyone guiding me in my new hobby.

Be aware that the glycerin soapmaking kit from a craft store is a mediocre quality. I would get your supplies from BrambleBerry if you want a good quality product.

Welcome to the forum, chappyk! When I first started soaping, I also bought a kit from my local craft store just to see if I liked it. Soon after, I bought some of the SFIC bases from Bramble Berry and noticed a big difference in quality. Soapmaking is so much fun - you're going to have a blast exploring fragrances, colorants, molds, techniques, etc.! :)
