Help! I'm not new to CP soap, but lately my CP soap has translucent spots all throughout it. I'm not sure how to get rid of them! Any suggestions?

What was your recipe, temp and method?

30 oz palm oil, 28 oz coconut oil, 24 oz olive oil, 12 oz lye, 4 cups water. oil temps between 105 to 110 degrees, lye temp 105 degrees, poured into mold (wooden box with styrafoam lid) left for 24 hours. I' ve checked the PH and it's 7, the soap lathers perfectly, and feels great on my skin. So frustrating!!!!!!! I've used this recipe forever and never experienced this, but lately, it's almost every batch. I did get new wooden box molds, but it doesn't happen on every batch, just most of them!!!

It could be the stearic precipitating from one of your oils. Try soaping at a higher temp like 110-115 and see if that takes care of the problem. I would also weigh your water instead of using cups for a measure. How much did you superfat? Normally, handmade CP soap has a pH of around 9. Is you pH meter accurate?
