I noticed that bramble berry rebatch soap bases say olive oil, palm oil etc... others companies say on their rebatch soap bases sponified olive oil, sponified palm oil etc. Is there a difference and if so what does it mean for the consumer? I'm looking for a base with the least amount of chemicals. Thank you! :P

It's the same thing. All rebatch bases start out with oils and/or butters and lye. Once cured, there is no lye present. Saponified just means it was made with lye. Be aware that rebatched soap will never be as smooth as cold process soap.

Thanks! So i just want to be clear if it just says palm oil it is sponified palm oil correct? I have only done melt and pour and wanted to try the next level which i'm guessing is rebatch soap. I hear that rebatch soaps are nicer then melt and pour. Now that i've done even melt and pour i can't buy a bar of soap from the store. I'm afraid i'm hooked  Any advive would be greatly appreciated. :D

True. Trying to find a soap that has no sulfates etc, just bases that are made with true oils and butters and obviously lye. I started making soaps for my daughter whom has very sensitive skin. Then my whole family started using the soap. By nicer i mean a thicker, richer lather and i can add more things to it. Can you suggest anything? :D

Thicker, richer lather depends on ingredients that are used. Synthetic MP bases will give you more lather, but they are also more drying.

Don't want anything drying at all. That's one of my problems with store bought soap. They say it's not drying yet when you read the ingredients there is a list of words that i can't even say let alone spell  Besides if i buy an olive oil soap from the store, the ingredient is usually near the bottom of the list. Do you think i should try rebatch soap? Will it give me a better quality of soap i would be adding extra vitamins, and oils!

Some of those long names for ingredients aren't actually bad. It's most likely the INCI name. Sure, try a rebatch soap. I wouldn't add any vitamins to it though. Those would be wasted in soap as it's a wash off product. You can add a small amount of an extra oil to the rebatch base, but if you add too much, you will loose lather.
