Hi, I would like someone to assist me with a dog shampoo formula and procedures on how to make it. The shampoo should have the ingredients to repel pests, should smell good and must give the pet a clean and rich coat.

The shampoo will be sold commercially here in Nairobi Kenya and will be targeting the kennel club members, the security guard dog establishments and the elite dog lovers. So please the simpler yet quality shampoo the better. A shampoo with natural oils will be an added advantage. Thanks

Michael

Most handcrafted shampoo formulas for animals have too high of a pH for a dog. That's why commercial shampoos work better in this instance, since they are syndet based. Syndet shampoos have a lower pH and are more compatible with the skin's structure of a dog. I would start researching formulas on the net, make them, then tweak them from there. This is a long and expensive process, there is no shortcut.
