Hi everyone,
Just thought I would drop by and introduce myself. As you can gather from my subject I'm very new to all of this, so new that I haven't even started actually making anything yet, lol. But that is just how I approach something new, especially something as complex as soap/lotion making...I like to learn all I can first before I just jump right in. I am a 34 yr old female who has always been concerned about what I put into my body. I have always been an avid label reader and am big into organics with food of course but also with skin care. I have enjoyed exploring the mulitude of organic skin care products that are available in the stores and have found some that are pretty good. Unfortunately, I always find that something is lacking with various products, either it doesn't remove makeup adequately or it doesn't deliver on one thing or another... That is what basically inspired me to want to start making my own products. I want to be able to control what I put into the products that I put on my body. I also think its a great way to spend free time and would be a great creative outlet. As for now I prefer to make soaps for myself and possibly family and close friends, but it might be possible that it will turn into a career at some point down the road but I don't want to assume such a thing at this point. Looking forward to getting to know other like minded individuals here and learn all I can from all of you.
