Teach Soap

Have you considered a forum for selling or exchanging all the stuff we no longer want or use? For example, I love molds, buy them, but don't use them, and have a lot of fragrances I really don't particularly like. I would happily pass them on for a little money to spend at brambleberry!

Definitely; we've actually been talking a lot about it in the office over the last week. Great minds think alike.

We're working on it but are a ways away from making it a reality. One of the reasons is that we don't want to police transactions (lost packages, packages that arrive short etc...) and instead want to focus on the fun and beauty of soapmaking. Technology could help with some of that but the second reason is that the technology isn't quite there for us to do it using the backend format that this forum runs on.

But, in TeachSoap.com version 3.0, that's definitely a feature that we'd like to incorporate.

Or you could just start a new section on this forum for trading....and make it clear at the top that it is at your own risk only. I'm sure tons of us would participate. I used to run one on BMEzine.com for jewelry and it was LOADs of fun, there was mutual respect so hardly anyone every screwed anybody over. You could even make it trades only or something, so no one is exchanging money maybe! People might even be able to trade finished products for a certain oil they'd like to try....etc. Just an idea! hehe

Perhaps the money part would be a PM exchange and the listing would be just what is available. If interested a person would PM the lister of an item.
