I'm a newbie from MA

I've been involved in sewing for the past several years but always open to new craft ideas. I recently attended a short soap making class and took home a lovely heart-shaped soap made from M & P soap base. When I showed it to my niece, she immediately asked if I would make heart soaps as favors for her daughter's bridal shower. I agreed and began the search for supplies. I just finished 50 two-tone pink heart-shaped soaps for the bridal shower which is scheduled for 8/2. The only problem I had with some of the soap hearts is that they feel very "oily" or "wet" to the touch. I am not sure why this happened but perhaps someone else had this problem and can tell me how to resolve it. Is there some way to "dry" them before I place them in white cardboard "cake" boxes" to be given as favors. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm happy to be aboard!

Welcome!
MP soaps need to be shrink wrap as soon as they are made so they don't sweat. You can wipe the sweat off well and I would shrink wrap them as soon as you can. MP soap can also sweat if you live in a place that has moderate to high humidity. Where did you purchase this base? BrambleBerry has a low sweat base that would work better for your needs. http://www.brambleberry.com/LCP-Clear-M ... P4383.aspx
