Teach Soap

Hello ladies,
My name is Sydney I’m all the way in sunny Florida hence the name lol, but I’m so new to soaping I haven’t even made a bar yet Lol. I stumbled on soap making while looking for pure cocoa and Shea butters.
A little about me
I’m a single mom I have 1 child he is turning 2 in July but seems like she is turning 25 lol
I’m 25 my self
I work from home for a company call Arise
Like I said before I found out about soaping while looking for cocoa and Shea butters I was looking to make my own cocoa butter cream for my skin and a Shea butter cream for my hair. I have ugly dark stretch marks from my daughter worst part of being a mommy lol and the Shea butter is for my hair which will keep moisture in my hair our is naturally dry boo lol. Anyways so when I found the cocoa and Shea butters I made sum and said hey I can sell this everyone in my family wanted some. So I went to look for bulk orders and packing and lableing and busness start up(which is very daunting right now) and bam I found soap queen and I fell in love with it. I’m still doing research on it. I’m naturally crafty I’m a self-taught left handed knitter. Yes that was hard. But I would hope to sell soap along with my cocoa and she butters. So that’s mainly what I’m researching. So that’s a little bit about me. I will have 101 questions but I love to learn about new things. And the more I learn about soap the more I create things in my head and like I said I haven't even made one bar. but I do see the importance of really taking my time and really learning about soap and the EO's FO's and colors i had no idea what really went into makeing soap but it still shoud fun! even though your soaps that I have been seeing are so wonderfully made and I’m sure they smell heavenly I want to jump right in and make still I want to do it right. Soap queen really showed me the importance of that I’ve watch all her videos on YouTube lol. Sorry this is so long but I have bursting at the seams with soaping lol

Welcome to the forum & to a very addicting hobby.

If you live in Florida, they have some very strict regulations when it comes to selling cosmetics. Products can not be made in homes, there are special permits, health inspections, product registration fees, etc.

so i read the webiste and most of it went over my head but so i understand if i want to sell soap only i can do that out my home but the body creams i need all the other stuff for that?

Hi! Welcome to soaping! I am new too with only a few bars under my belt. This forum is chock full of wonderful people with fantastic advice and knowledge! So lucky they are willing to help and share! Brambleberry has some really good books on her site for beginners in soaping and other stuffs. I just bought a couple and can't wait to read them!

Amber thanks for the kind words. yes i see them i may go to the libary and check them out first there are lots and i only want to buy what will help me on my soaping journy then buying a kit i was looking at the seashells that fits my area very nicely yes i have me searching topics that intrest me and thery all have been asked here love this site

well this is going to be hard to sell. i cant sey my cocoa butter soap is great for the skin that sucks. or is it only how i pack it and now what i say? jus a thought but as far as my skin and hair goes that all the way out the window. Fla is so jacked up and they wonder why people are coming here less and less. I may do some reseach and try to get this changed they have no idea how much money the are losing with all of the taxes and fees they are charging they think they are getting more money that way.

Amber i live is a small town too but we have like 3 little towns like secondes from each other and they all have a libary so if one dont have the other will
