Hi! I'm Mercedes from Colorado. I started making soap last year under careful guidance, grin. I finally feel comfortable doing it on my own and have made my first 10 lb batch. It went really well but I learned one really valuable lesson: don't let the kids mix the EO's. You might get some funky smells! I have 4 children, 10, 12, 13 and 17. The girls wanted to help so I sat them down with recipes and oils with clear instructions. Opppps. The final scents are growing on me and I'm sure they will change some more as the bars cure!
Anyway, I am so thrilled to have found this forum. I have learned a lot reading posts. Thanks for being here!
I had to laugh at the "you know you are obsessed when..." list. I say good morning to my soap every day and sniff and oooo and ahhh. UGH!! I can't wait to start my next batch!
