One of the granddaughters and I made our first soaps yesterday. I don't know whether or not to wrap the soap with plastic wrap for storage. I've read two differing opinions on this. Could I get a solid Yea or Nay on this?

I always wrap mine. If you leave them unwrapped you can get two things: 1) glycerin "sweat", where it beads to the surface and leaves the soap a bit dry, or 2) shriveling! This is where the soap dries out, it can bend and twist and shrivel.

You can wrap them in kitchen plastic (saran) or put them in ziplock bags, or shrink wrap. Just a few examples.

I use ziplock bags for mine. Pretty humid here - I get glycerine sweat easily otherwise.
