Teach Soap

This is the 3rd batch of NG's GM base I have tried this week. I took pics after each 30 secs in the microwave.

The highest temp I ever got on it with a laser temp was 145.

I need recommendations on a good GM base. This one isn't working and BB's sweats:(

It looks like it never melted. What about using BB's low sweat base? Their base should should sweat less as it has less glycerin in it.

That is truly odd! I've never seen a quality base seize at such a low temperature. Have you contacted NG? I'm sure they'd like to investigate!

I did email NG on Monday and not heard anything at all back.

I also know it's not my microwave because the BB GM base melts in max 75 secs.

I looked at BB's low sweat bases. First they don't have a GM low sweat and second they don't offer that in their flat rate shipping, so shipping would be a killer.

This is sure taking the fun out of soaping:(

Well I can say one thing for NG, they get up early, this is the reply I got at 4:52am: I'm sorry it took me a few days to get back with you on this question. We were closed on Monday, and I am just getting caught up with emails. Our natural goat's milk melt and pour base will require longer heating than traditional MP soap bases. These bases do indeed require the crafter to work faster when molding the soap. You will need to get the soap hotter. Try that and let me know how it works out for you. Have a super day!

I'm glad they got back to you! I've had nothing but great service from NG. In my experience they're right up there with BB.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I got my GM soap base from NG to become a liquid but when it set up really fast it started to look like the last pic you posted. After adding the neon pink colorant it only got worse. It caused my BB GM base to do the same thing. I emailed NG and got a response, but wasn't satisfied with what they said so I replied and still no email back. I'll have to email them again. I'm really nervous to try their oatmeal base that I purchased.

I wasn't satisfied with my response either, but said heck with it and didn't email them back. If there answer had been for the first lb I used I would have accepted it, but since I bought 10lbs and it was only the last 3 lbs that gave me a problem, I don't see where it can be the make up of the base they are selling. I got a response from them when I sent them a link to this thread, might not hurt to try and see if that helps you.
