Teach Soap

First I'm sorry if I ask too many questions. I need base help. I went with a GM base from NG as my first base, because they are close to me so I saved a lot on shipping. I liked it for the most part, but also wanted to try something else to see what was different. I bought the GM base from BB and noticed quite a few differences. The BB was much creamier when melting and didn't get a skin on top and no clumps when I poured. The problem with the BB base is sweating. It happened one other time and you all helped me and thought it was from it being in the freezer to try and release it from the mold. Well today what I made was sweating too, no freezer this time and while it was warm it has been way hotter this summer and the NG's base never sweated. I looked at BB's site tonight and they offer the low sweat bases, but no GM, which I really want. What now and ideas, suggestions???

If it's humid where you are, MP soaps will sweat. Can you melt a small batch of the two bases together and see if there is any difference in sweating?

hrm, interesting. I get my GM bases from Aussie Soap Supplies over here in oz, and they are supposedly the same bases that BB sell. (not 100% on that though, just what I heard). I've never had any problems with those sweating... clear bases yes, but not with the GM one.
