I just made a few bars of soap using BB Goat's Milk sample and was very slippery to use. I've made other soap in the past and have not had this problem, as long as it was BB. The thing I did different this time was use the double boiler instead of microwave, tho didn't think that would matter as I read the double boiler is better to use, especially since my microwave only has high temp. The other thing I did, which will probably sound crazy, but I colored with slate blue and used a lot of the color trying to get the pastel light blue that I thought it was. Should have realized that slate is grey, but was one of those days! I kept putting color in until I finally stopped at a dark battleship grey. My husband is a retird submariner so he's feeling quite at home in the shower! I did put a few drops of fragrance in, also BB. Would the excessive color cause it to be so slippery? Also was quite soft after 5-6 hours, which is when I usually remove from molds. Even by the next morning, was softer than any other I've made and is going quickly in the shower. Used new plastic molds from BB that are quite thick, so wondering if they're also a problem with curing? After making so many soaps that I was pleased with, this is baffling and disappointing.
