Teach Soap

Im not an expert or seller. But last year gave soaps made by me and my daughter for christmas. They were great. Then i did ones for easter in two different colors. They were glycerin. One side blue the other yellow. I poured blue into mold sprayed with alcohol to get rid of bubbles then when it cooled after about 10 min i poured the yellow. They cooled and out they came. But i got calls from family that they came apart at the seam where the second color was poured. How do I prevent that,from happening?

Once the skin has formed on the first half, spray again with alcohol, then pour the second half immediately after. The alcohol helps keep the layers together.

Hopefully you used the same brand base for both. Meaning you can't use crafters choice for one color and brambleberry for the other color. You have to use one brand for both.

I was wondering as well, where is the candle?
I have already mixed different soaps, the key is exactly the right time to pour the second layer.

I've never had an issue mixing brands of bases.

You know what we in Ukraine do to keep layers together? We wait for a strong coat to form and then scratch it with a spoon or knife so the surface is slightly rough. Then pour second layer. Usually, you can't see that layer was scratched in the resulted soap.

Though, they do part sometimes too.
