I made a Milk and Honey facial bar with honey m&p and Goats milk M&P. I added nothing to it no scent no color and it is drying out my face. What is causing this?

Where did you get the MP base? For some people MP can be drying.

All my base is from Wisteria Lane which i understand them to be SFIC bases. I was washing my face with just the honey until i made these with no problem. Thinking its the goats milk base but not sure. I thought goats milk soap was supposed to be very moisterizing?

can anyone recommend a good base for a facia bar then? I read on another soap forum that wisteria lane sells SFIC bases. I have emailed them to make sure but the ingredient listed are the exact same and in the same order. They sell a complextion melt but its $5.50 a lb. Its a goat mik base also with added mango butter. Is there something maybe that I should add to the one ive already made?

Try adding up to 1 tablesppon of an oil or butter per one lb. of base.

If you're looking for a non drying soap, I would suggest Brambleberry olive oil soap base. It's awesome.
Also, I just used the LCP to make some fruity soaps and it's really great. Hard and non drying. I love it.

Used it this morning and so far so good. No dry skin and no red blotches. Thanks everyone for the advice!

The BB LCP bases are wonderful! Even on my super dry skin, and wow do they lather!
