M&P babies?

Is M&P soap any kind of base ok for babies or maybe just clear glycerin?

How young are we talking about?
Our pediatrician now recommends not using soap on babies for as long as possible. My daughter is amost 4 months old and we just started using some of the castile soap I made when I first found out I was pregnant.

I would look for a base that is free of surfactants and has little detergents. I don't mind those things in soap for older people, but they could be too irritating for a baby's skin.

I agree with Genny. I would use the SLS free MP base. Clear MP base with no color or scent added might work fine. Or use a pure castile soap with nothing else but olive oil.
