I've been scouring the net looking for interesting ideas for soaps. I've seen MP soap with all kinds of glitter and maybe soap shavings on top, plus shavings through the bar. This was a loaf mold. Any suggestions on how to do this? Sorry if this is a silly question.... I'm a true noob.

Try a cheese grater for shreds. Those can be embedded in a MP soap loaf or put on top. BrambleBerry sells mica that you can sprinkle on top if you like.

Lots of ways to add pizzazz to your soaps! There are TONS of tutorials out there- check out armygrl's link. And you HAVE to check out soapylove's stuff! www.soapylove.com Debbie has great tutorials, e-zines and books about beautiful soaps. Mmmm!

One note about glitter - only ever use body safe glitter. Manufacturers will state this. If it's not specifically mentioned, don't use it. You can get great body safe glitter from www.brambleberry.com
