When I leave my soaps out to harden, they get wet all over - what to do?

You can put them under a fan.

Are you adding any oils/butters to them? Or are you putting them in the fridge at all? Those things can add moisture.

Hi, divine. Sounds like you're getting glycerin dew. The glycerin in the soap attracts moisture from the air and the soaps appear to "sweat." I especially notice this if it's humid outside, or from condensation if I had to put the soap in the freezer to unmold. A fan can help wick some of the moisture away.

Melt-and-pour soaps will sweat if they are not wrapped in plastic. I wrap my M&P soaps in plastic cling wrap right after unmolding to prevent glycerin dew. You could also try the low-sweat M&P base, but I always wrap my low-sweat soaps, too, because I live in the humid South.

I agree. If there is humidity in the air the soaps can sweat. Unless you are using the soap in the shower right away, I would wrap the soaps tightly with saran wrap or shrink wrap them. Low sweat base also helps.

Would you folks recommend low-sweat MP in, say, south NJ? Our humidex is usually over 95%.
