Hey everyone! I am totally new to soapmaking - I got my first order from BB a few days ago and attempted to follow Anne-Marie's tutorial for the Bee and Honeycomb Soap ()
I made my first batch last night (well, technically my second batch, as the first one turned a weird yellow-green color from me mixing in the raspberry leaves while the soap was too hot, I think). I let the soap harden on the kitchen counter for ~4-5 hours. I live in San Diego, so I don't think the humidity is very high, and my house temp is ~74 F. I unmolded it, and it was very firm and looked great this time! I brushed on some heavy gold mica, then wrapped them in saran wrap right away. This morning, I looked at the soaps, and this weird sweating is appearing in between the spaces of the bee. I used honey MP base for JUST the bee's.
What went wrong? Is it the honey MP? Did I wrap it too soon? And how do I fix it - should I unwrap them and let them air dry for a bit..?
Here's the pics:
And the raspberry leaf is bleeding a little.. any tips? Can I hide the bleeding if I use a different color?
Thanks in advance
Laura
