I have a couple of questions about using rubbing alcohol question one is I am very interested in making layered soap but am afraid that since rubbing alcohol smells so strong it will hide any fragrance I decide to use I was wondering if thats true my next question is i,ve read that using rubbing alcohol in your soaps will dry out your skin and was wondering if that was true :roll:

The alcohol will dissipate. Unless you are using way too much, there should be no problem with the fragrance hiding, unless you didn't use enough fragrance in the first place. I don't think it makes the soap less drying.

It evaporates pretty quickly. I use it a lot and have never had either of those (or any) problems with it.
