I made my very first batch of melt and pour embedded toys soap and it was fun. I have a question as I am new to soaping, my husband suggested I make my own melt and pour as opposed to buying in bulk. I am planning on this as a hobby and future business, any suggestions from other successful business owners would be welcome.

It is not easy and it is time consuming. It also requires alcohol, which can be dangerous at higher temps. I would stick with your MP base for now. If you want to see one of the methods mentioned online for making transparent soap, take a look here and then do some more research.

Be aware that handmade glycerin soap will never be as clear. The color will be more like amber.
