Teach Soap

I went to the "Everything is $1" store today and found these really cute soaps. There are 9 little rosebud soaps in a container. You peel off a petal and wash your hands with it and it dissolves. They smell pretty good, too. How did they make them? I feel kinda silly asking but I've never made soap before and I'd like to try these.

Without seeing them I would guess water soluble paper. There is a tutorial here, she makes leaves, but you could really make any shape that you wanted.

They may have just bunched a bunch of leaves together and then dipped the bottom in some clear melt and pour to get them to stay together in a rose bud shape.

Those are factory made with synthetic surfactants. There is no way you could make them at home except what Bramble Momma said. Or you could pour a very thin layer of MP onto a baking pan, then use cookie cutters to cut out shapes.

Thank-you so much. I did check out the videos from Soap Queen which is very helpful! Actually, I have ordered from Brambleberry before but it was for candle making supplies that I just made for myself and close friends.
Since those are probably factory made maybe I will just make something like the leafs that was on the Brambleberry site. Also, on You Tube, they had a few videos on dipping rose petals.
Anyway, here are the ingredients that are listed on the rose soap that I got at the $1 store:

Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, ZeaMays (Corn) Starch, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Alcohol,Cocamide Mea, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Mineral Oil, Methylparaben, Fragrance, Propylparaben, Allantoin. May Contain: Blue1, Yellow 5, Red 40.
