Teach Soap

Hi - I have been researching M&P bases and found NG, BB, WSP are among the few. Can anyone guide me to any others that i have not mentioned or please comment on what i have researched? I'm making a batch of baby soap favors and I want to find the best base possible. Thank you.

Wistiria Lane also has good melt and pour soap.

I buy my M&P base from either Bramble Berry or Elements Bath & Body (http://www.elementsbathandbody.com/Soap ... c-218.html). They both carry SFIC bases, which is my favorite.

Hi - What does SFIC mean?

There's too. They are restocking their bases early July. They have a lot more than is currently showing.

Interesting topic, as I have been wondering, more specifically, exactly WHICH Brambleberry melt-and-pour bases people like or prefer?

For example, there is the "regular" m&p BB base, but then the "LCP" (like cold process), no-sweat m&p base. So if there is a m&p base that does not "sweat", why buy the regular one at all? Or what about the Aloe Vera base, or the Olive Oil one, or the Hemp Oil one?

Does anyone have any feedback or advice on the various BB bases?

Hi - So much to know, can I ask an opinion on what company has the most natural base. I'm nervous with a baby shower coming up and want to be as natural as possible. i have never tried BB, Elements, or Wistiria Lane. Honestly i have only tried NG and WSP, but reading different reviews both companies soapers are not fans of either one of them. Still so knew at all of this. Thanks so much for all the support. If I were you I'd go with Soapbuddy's advice, go organic. They have an organic base at BB and Nucsents.

Thank you all for your help. I looked at the link you mentioned and it only seems to be clear. Does BB come in a natural white base? Shea butter or goats milk? Also, does it later well and is it easy to work with? I tried calling them but unfortunately there was just voicemail. Thank you.

If you add some titanium dioxide to a small amount of glycerin, then add that to the natural soap, you will get white. I don't know of any organic MP base that is naturally white.

I didn't want to start ANOTHER topic on M&P bases, so I'm going to tag onto this.

Does any of us make our own M&P Soap base? Through some research, I found
a book on M&P soap base from Scratch, however someone reviewed that although the
photos on the cover are M&P, that the book itself is about CP. I'm not sure, but I thought
I'd ask here to see if anyone makes their own. Any info would be great.
