Teach Soap

Hi,
I have been thinking of using some tea in my soaps. Will the dried teas make the soap rancid? I was thinking about just a layer on the top of the bars.
I just love the smell of lemongrass, and Rooibos teas. Has anyone tried this and what are your results?

That layer will either wash off quick or if it doesn't it will turn brown as it oxidizes.

I have added chamomile tea green tea ect to many of my recipes,I like the way lavender buds BROWN a little in the soap ,theres nothing wrong with that and some people like the look .I feel that alot of additives are a personel preferance and not a wrong or right ,except if your talking about adding fresh fruit. This link will give you an idea of some really great Melt and Pour recipes,and if you google Melt and Pour recipes you will find a plethera of info. As far as the layer washing off ,I have seen tons of pictures in the photo gallery of CP soap with a heafty topping of various things Lavender buds Rose buds ect and they look beautiful and will also wash off, personel preferance again.
