So what do you qualify as either 'natural' or 'organic'?

I'm kinda fuzzy on this one and want to make sure I've got it right if I'm going to label something that way.

I have some m&p bases that are called 'natural', but are they still natural after I add fragrance & color? Same for organic....don't even get me started on vegan!! Is fragrance vegan at all?!? I would assume, but again, certainty is good. I figure you guys will have lots to enlighten me on this as usual ;)

I'll try to help a little. I would say that if you're using FO's and mica/oxide/pigment/FD&C colors, then no, it's not natural. If you're using EO's and clays/botanicals/kelp ect colorants, then yes, it's still natural.
Organic, I would say the same thing, if your additives are themselves organic. If you're not sure, err on the side of caution
Vegan, no one will tell you the ingredients in an FO, it's a proprietary formula (secret) so there's no way to know.

Hope that helped a little and maybe someone else will chime in with additions.

The word natural has lost its meaning. I've seen lotions in stores that call themselves natural and there is nothing natural about them. As far as organic, do you have any paperwork that you could prove that an ingredients is organic?

Mica technically isn't organic, but it is considered organic, and many argue that it is considered natural from organic origins ...
Who knows...
