I'm planning to order some of the white and clear LCP, but I was wondering if anyone has some information first about how it may be different from regular MP. I especially like that it will be low(er) sweat, but other than that, not really sure what to expect. Will it be texturally different? Less clear than regular MP? If anyone has pictures of LCP soaps they've made, that would be fantastic! Thanks!

LCP base is harder then regular MP base, but I found it a little drying.

I used the LCP base once when the regular base was out of stock. The main difference is that the LCP has less glycerin in it, which helps make it sweat less. Because it contains less glycerin, some folks do find it drying. I personally didn't have any problems using the soaps made with the LCP base, but I prefer the feel of the regular base.

Working with the LCP base, I didn't notice any huge differences between it and the regular base, texturally or otherwise. I can't really offer any insight into how it does unwrapped or when wrapped in paper - I live in humid Florida and thought it best to wrap my MP soaps in plastic anyway, just to be safe.

I only use LCP, so you can take a browse through my Etsy shop to see how it can look :) Yes, it is a firmer texture than the regular base, which seems to help the bars last a bit longer. I find it lathers tremendously compared to the regular, as well. As for it being more drying, I don't think so - but I don't enjoy overly moisturizing bars. I have had 2 or 3 customers remark that they found my soap drying, for what it's worth. The rest are pretty pleased :)

I get sweating even with LCP - rainy, humid days will raise a sweat on my unwrapped bars very quickly, sometimes within 4-5 hours of pouring. I wrap my bars as soon as I unmold them, in cellophane.

These are soaps I made before Valentine's Day. I add shea butter, honey and other oils to my lcp base. It's all I have used.

I too use the LCD m and p and fine it excellent especially for areas of high humidity.

Linda your soaps are very pretty! How much shea, honey or oil do you add to your m and p? What does it add to the soap?

The little heart soaps are darling, is that a chocolate mold? I imagine you sold out of your Valentines stock!
