anyone know where I can get activated charcoal from to add to mp? I'm getting really interested in these "weird" things lol

Hi, thank you for the link and the warning! I haven't even made MP yet, maybe I will stick with something simpler for now then since it's so messy lol Besides the things I heard about it, I was trying to make a pitch black bar of soap, what coloring from BB would be best for that?

I use activated charcoal to make my M&P black, so I can tell you it will come out very pretty. I just usually have some fast orange handy since it can easily stain whatever you touch. It took me forever to scrub it out of the white porcelain sink in my apartment. If you are wanting to color M&P with soap, I would try an easy herb/spice first, such as paprika or Nutmeg. I don't get my fragrances from BB but I like using a cinnamon bun like fragrance and coloring it with nutmeg. It gives the most wonderful scent and a beautiful color.

that sounds pretty! I was going with the leather FO from BB, I have an idea of black soap with that and glitter sprinkled in the bottom (which would be the top). That's why I was looking for a true black color for use with the clear MP. I see they have some liquid black oxide and some powdered pigment. A little confused on which one to go with

I would go with the black oxide. From my understanding, that should be a little easier to work with

I make a soap with AC and dead sea salt. It turns out great and i have never had a problem with a mess. I just use 3 caps to 1lb m&p soap base and it has a blackish blue look to it. Its very pretty and everyone loves it. I got my AC at GNC but im sure you can get better deals online.

What is AC from GNC, I am curious?
