Teach Soap

I plan on opening a shop on etsy, everyone has loved my soaps and it's hard to keep track and I feel that it's time to do so!! So I was wondering how did other people strt out on that site? I noticed it's 20 cents to list an item and so on.... I was wondering if anyone could give me advice:) I only make melt and pour since I'm good at it and know how all works!!!

Hi! I've been selling on Etsy for about a year. Not soap though, I sell jewelry. I'm switching over to soap in the next 2 weeks though lol
The fees are good at .20 each and your listing stays up for 4 months. But there is a catch to that though..you get knocked way down in the searches if you don't relist before it expires (the 4 months).
A 4 month old listing would be at the back pages and no one goes that far back if they typed in something to search for.
So you have to relist fairly often or list new stuff, which of course becomes more then .20
I haven't made bar soap (yet), but seems like some people are selling them kinda cheap for a handmade product.
