I am playing around with a custom lotion recipe I made and have everything with it about perfect. Love the feel and lather, but the soap is still a bit too soft for my liking. Any ideas of what I could add to harden the soap up a bit? I do not want to change the lotion to MP ratio.

What I am using...

Natural Clear Soap Base
Natural Lotion
Cherry Lemonade FO

It will always be soft, due to the lotion. Lotion is made with oils and or butters and some type of a liquid, like water. Normally, people add up to 1 TBS of oil or butter per lb. of base.

Hmm...then maybe I should be happy with the way it is then. Will the butter not make it softer?

Mango or cocoa butter will not make it softer, just as long as you don't use more than 1 TBS. per lb. of MP base. It's really best used as is.
