Teach Soap

I have been thinking about how i want to store all of my bases and soaping supplies since I have been acquiring quite a lot lately lol! I was thinking maybe that I could find a 1/2oz or 1oz mold and molding my bases and storing the 1/2oz/1oz bits in an airtight container. That way I can just pick out how every many bits I need at a time since I only make soap one or two bars at a time for me and my family. wdyt?

I store the whole, unused MP logs in large ziploc bags. Some odds and ends are in smaller bags or recycled plastic jars.

i just thought it might be nice to chop up the soap once wasnt sure if it was bad for the soap to melt it and mold it more than once

I have my m & p all cut in small piece and stored in a 5 gallon container ( I buy the big 25lb blocks) for me I find that it saves time when I want to start production.

I bought a couple of Rubbermaid containers last night but I think I need to find some bigger ones. I got the 5 cup ones and I can squeeeeze 2lbs of cubed base in there but it took some convincing to get it in there just right. I have a restaurant supply store here in my town so I think I might check there for larger containers.

i buy my blocks of m&p in 1 kilo blocks but the mould i use only holds 800grams (sorry, not sure how much that is in pounds and ounces!) so i pre chop the blocks up into lots of 800grams and store in a zip lock bag until i need to use them.

My last 2 boxes of M&P came from Otion and the blocks come in a giant clear bag so I just twist tie that up and close the box. I then take a few logs of clear and then white and cut them up into cubes and put these in giant ziplock bags. That way it's ready to go when I want to make a batch of soap and it melts quicker that way.
