What would be the difference between an oxide and an ultramarine?

So a ultramarine pink and a pink oxide are the same thing? Just the color may be a bit different?

When you order a ultramarine pink and get a pink oxide you are actually getting a different color?

Ultramarine pink is a soft doll pink. It can be confusing as some web sites call it a "Ultramarine Pink Oxide". The colors that I have here are both pink. The Ultramarine looks pinker to me.

So if you ordered an ultramarine for the doll pink color and you were sent a pink oxide, would you be agreeable to this?

it was confusing for me too, lol. I ordered mine from BB and it's listed as "Ultramarine Pink (pink oxide) pigment"...and it is a soft doll pink.

The terms are used pretty interchangeably - I would be happy getting:

Pink Oxide
Pink Iron Oxide
Ultramarine Pink
Ultramarine Pink Iron Oxide

And would consider them virtually identical for my recipe in terms of usage rate. You'll see faint variations in color and hue from batch to batch but nothing too dramatic.
