Teach Soap

I would like to try to highlight the detail on molds that have a raised design. I'm not fond of painting the soap but was wondering if there was another method such as brushing mica directly on the molded soap. If so, would it adhere by itself or should it be mixed with something like alcohol and then brushed on.

I do that by leaving the molds open and pouring soap into the detail as if it were a flat, regular mold. Then once the design has set you can assemble the molds and pour the rest of the bar.

I paint with mica all the time.....just don't wet the brush...to switch colors just clean brush on a dry paper towel...it will stick without adding anything ... just blow away excess....
