Teach Soap

Hi all, just these lines to wish that the beginning of 2010 is full of dreams and desires and to be met. I have great faith and hope in this coming year. I will write on paper all my dreams for next year and I read every day.
Also I would ask you that you have tradition in your country at year's end. For example here in Spain have 12 grapes with 12 bells, each grape represents a wish, and we always say jokingly, "Beware of the grapes, do not choke." I would like to know what is the tradition that you follow.

It's a Czech tradition to eat a bowl of lentils signifying many coins or money; with a fried egg on top for a sunny future.

I have my usual tradition for making a resolution and then not remembering what it was.

I like the 12 grapes and 12 bells idea. Does the 12 represent each month of the year?

Tic, it represents one month each year. If you remember your resolution is better than the scribes and read it every day, so you'll remember.
Soapbuddy, I love the amount of tradition that you named and each time I read one and was imagining me, the truth either lifting the first to finish Christmas dinner for what might happen. You follow these tradition?
