Teach Soap

Hi! I had a few of my soaps (melt and pour ) that I have had for about a week/two in tubaware containers and shrinkwrap fade on me and bleed and not sure if I did something wrong or if it's the colorants..

I used Goats milk melt and pour, Vanilla stabilizer (maybe not enough), fragrance and soapylove "non bleeding" (yes they do! >.<) colorants.

I did several soaps with layers and they turned out to have bleed on eachother after two weeks of having been sealed. My soaps are beautiful the day I make them and for a few days but it seems after I store them they start to have this problem..

I also tried the colorants with stephenson's Vanilla stab. base (clear glycerin) and while the colors stay vibrant the embeds do bleed all over.. <<cries>>

I'm going to put some examples here, one of them is a glycerin yellow with red hearts and ended up looking like tie dye 5 days later...

A yellow and green layered soap where the yellow looks like a creamy white now and the green layers bled. (green layers are not that dark, they are for the most part the same color as the original just bled.. pic is horrible lol)

And a blue/pink and purple embeds with white goatsmilk (not colored) which bled (specifically the embeds onto the other layers)

And one last question : how do i keep white goats milk white? (no beeding from other colors)

I think it is probably the colorants.

I bought some Lake dyes which are supposed to be non-bleeding "unless you use too much." I didn't think I was using too much, but the orange centers of my white flowers bled until most of the white flowers were light orange.

I have had very good luck with Brambleberry's non-bleeding liquid colors and with their micas. Not a bit of bleeding, even when I use a lot of color.

So sorry about your soaps. They were so pretty! Don't let it discourage you... just try a different kind of color.
