Is there any way at all, to stop M&P soap from swaeting when it's exposed to air? I've had some soap on my window ledge, uncoverd for ..... about 3 months now, and it's not sweated at all. Then. I've got some other soap (from the same large block) that I melted, but didn't add anything to it, and it's sweated. :? Eh??! I know that some fragrances and colours will influence whether it sweats or not, as well as the temp it was heated to .... and the position of the great star, left of the rising moon ........ but, is there anything that can be added to the soap to STOP it from sweating? I want to make some ornamental soaps, but they will very likely be taken out of their shrink wrap for display. Any ideas? Please?? :?

There are 'low sweat' melt and pour bases you can try.

Depending on your area though, melt and pour just sweats.... it's what it does. :D
They suck the moisture out of the air, so the only sure fire way to stop them is to cut them off from the air by wrapping them in saran wrap or shrink wrap.

If you did wrap them once with a nice clean, tight layer of saran wrap and shrunk it you could still use it as an ornament. Just tie a ribbon or something around the top and put a drop of fragrance on the ribbon. That way you still get the scent of the soap. :D
