Teach Soap

I've been making a lot of white soap lately and have begun to wonder if there is a recommended amount of t.d. to use per pound or per ounce of soap. I've been guessing and think I may be adding too much. Also, I'm mixing it with a little alcohol before adding it to the soap. Is this okay?

I use about a 1/4 tsp. in a lb. of clear MP base.
