Hello, I am trying to find who makes this soap base. It is low sweat white melt & pour, and the containers look like this - Image

Ingredients are as follow: Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerine (kosher, of vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan Oleate (emulsifier) Soybean Protein (conditioner) and titanium dioxide (mineral whitener).

It is our favorite base, and we would like to buy from them directly...any advice would be great. Thanks!!

Jenny

I do know Star personally but I don't know where she gets it from. I bet you could ask her.

From the ingredients, it looks like an SFIC base. Someone has put it in a different container.

I think Soapbuddy is right. I seem to remember seeing SFIC in her workshop one day. But their prices are ridiculous! You have to buy 7 cases of 18 32oz containers. That is the minimum order. Wow. I can't imagine doing that.

That's why we have Brambleberry to supply us small-timers!

There is a vendor in VA that is now doing "co-ops" twice a year for SFIC base, but if you live west of the Rockies shipping would be a killer.

A soaping company I chat on Twitter sells SFIC (not even sure what that stands for actually!).. check out www.soapiessupplies.com (Kelley is lovely).

A lot of places sell SFIC. I think the quality is better than the Stephenson's MP base.

Was just browsing the SFIC web site and it looks like they do sell retail packed 32 ounce containers just like the one pictured.

But as noted you have to buy in large quantities. And they only ship by truck. For 40 bucks you can get a one-time sample pack of all SEVENTEEN of their bases. I didn't go far enough in the shopping cart to see if they would ship that by LTL too.

Wow - I must be extremely lucky since SFIC is just a stones throw from my house. I did plunk down their minimum required of 5 boxes (for the cutups - *so easy to store and pull out of the box *) -- becasue I could make that up by not paying the shipping fees if I tried to order online elsewhere. And the retail price I was paying locally for single cutups (of their soap) was killing me at a local soap supply store. So it only made sense.

I continually get comments about my soap and how much lather or 'clean' the people feel who use it. Well of course :D because -- 1. It's "real" soap and 2. SFIC after 40+ years has their formulation down to a tea.

Hilary - you must live in soap central!! With the soaping base and the mica place so close by, I'm jealous!!! What does SFIC stand for btw?

Don't think we can get it over here :?

Yup it's SFIC. I used to get mine from a supplier who packaged it exactly like this but they couldn't say it was SFIC base but the ingredients were identical to the ones you list and to the ones SFIC uses.

Here is SFIC's website: http://www.sficcorp.com/

Think it stands for soap factory in California
