Here are some Jelly soaps that I made last night:

Any ideas on how these can ship? I'd think they would melt and leak.

Also, any thoughts on how to avoid the little white 'balls' throughout the soaps? You can see them best in the blue soap but they all have them.

What kind of preservative should I use in these?

They are cute, but they would melt here for sure. Since it has pectin in it (I believe) I'm not sure which preservative would be optimal.

I checked the ingredients for the shower jellies at the lush website and they list methylparaben as preservative, hope this helps

Hmmmm....it WOULD make sense to check the ingredient list that others use, wouldn't it? :oops:

Now to find methylparaben....

Be aware that some people will not buy a product that has parabens in it. I had to reformulate some of my formulas because my customers wanted paraben free.

I have also noticed that cutting down the amount of water when you mix your gelatin will help, they don't melt that easy, (that's just from personal experience) I usually cut the amount of water in half of what the package says. (hope this helps)
