Completely random and show how new I am at this:

My favorite soap is goatsmilk. I, of course, love BB's goats milk, but the shipping to Ohio kills me. I've searched a few other sites, and similar - the shipping costs twice as much as the product itself.

I've done cold process before, but I prefer molding and coloring I do with MP (I heart using droppers, syringes, and multiple colors to create 'painted' soaps). What I'm wondering is if you can make a goatsmilk MP base in a similar manner to cold process?

I typically only use 2 to 5 pounds at a time, depending on how business is, so I'm really hoping the answer to avoiding shipping costs from the coasts to the boonies of the midwest lies in making my own.

Thanks for your help...and thanks for not rolling your eyes too hard :P

Welcome!
It's not that easy to make your own MP. That type of soap will not remelt as well and will not be completely clear. The final color is more like amber, which make it difficult to color. Here is more info: http://www.millersoap.com/glycerinsoap.html
