Being very new to soaping (and having a LOT to learn), I thought it just might pay to make things simpler for myself. Whether making MP or CP, I'd like nice uniform bars (I'm a klutz at that.). And, should I wish to cover the bar in herbs, coffee or oats, I'd like to cover the face of the bar rather than one edge only.

So, I went out and bought a mold that is an absolute thing of beauty! It's a 16-bar/4# mold and comes with the cutter. Plus, the mold comes apart so there's less chance of "her klutziness" marring the bars taking the soap out of the mold. If I ever do become "accomplished" at soaping, I'll also buy the 25-bar size.

Anyway, I hope it's okay and that you don't mind my sharing this (I'm just soooo excited.):

i am a newbie to the board and soap making so i am very happy to have found your board. have question about this mold? can you use this type with m&p. i am not ready for cp but am very intriguedwith this type of mold. :?:
