Hello!
I want to make my own clear and white melt and pour bases however, I'm having some difficulty finding information.
Do you just make slabs of CP soap and melt it down later or do you have to use the HP method or do you have to use a different technique entirely?
Are there any good books are websites out there that I could referance?

Making MP is not for a beginner. Alcohol is involved. I would start with making cold process soaps, til you get the technique down first.

Thanks for the advice soabuddy! I agree that mastering one technique first before moving on is the best way to not get discoraged. I've made only 6 batches of soap using different recipes so, I haven't exhausted CP yet.
Hmmm... Alcohol you say. Alcohol is used to make transparent soap. Is that what melt and pour bases are made from?
