Hi everyone!
Ok so in 2 weeks We'll be going to our first craft show of the year. Then in August another around the 20th (so basically they're a month apart.)

Well anyways, I was just wondering what you tell your customers when they ask about the process of how you make the melt and pour soap. I'm kind of stumped on it! I mean, I know how to make it but I'm not sure how to sum it up so I don't take a half hour explaining.

thanks!

Hi Amplify Me!

I have the answer for you!! - Having done my kids marche and that last venue (not the best one for me but that was okay) but I learned alot in preparation for another I may do in September.

1. I purchase my soap in cut up logs. I took a piece of clear and opaue glycerin - wrapped in saran wrap - and when the appropriate moment came I would show them the cutup and explain that is how the soap starts. They would be amazed at how some white piece of soap had convereted to something so fun and yummy smelling.

2. The booth I shared with a friend makes polymer clay barrettes and she had a great idea that I plan to do. She had this wallet layout of 5 (4x6) photos showing the steps she goes through (just with her hands in the photos and the clay) - I thought something like that avaiable for people to see - show the cutups, show the soap in the pyrex, show it with colorant and/or fragrance , show it in the mold/loaf and then after it is popped out?

That will allow those to either see it while you are waiting on a customer or if you are not waiting and they are looking at it - then you can verbalize what's going on as well. It's a win win for those who are also too afraid to ask.

Best
Hilary
